Jwala Gutta on Telangana encounter: I was so disturbed, disappointed to see people celebrating

Indian shuttler Jwala Gutta on Saturday stated that she was really disturbed to see people celebrating the encounter of the four accused in Telangana rape-murder case.

She further stated that she was relieved to see some people still shared her concerns.

"Yesterday I was so disturbed n disappointed to see the kind of celebrations which took place that I just couldn't sleep. But also relieved to see a lot of people who showed the same concern as me-I just hope we all stand united and not lose trust in our constitution and judiciary," Gutta tweeted.

The 36-year-old had also tweeted yesterday asking, "Will this stop the future rapists?? And an important question: will every rapist be treated the same way...irrespective of their social standing."

Ten day ago, the victim left home on her two wheeler in the evening to go visit a doctor.

She later called up her sister to say that she had a flat tyre and a lorry driver had offered to help.

"The accused Mohammed Arif, Naveen, Shiva and Chennakeshavulu were killed in a police encounter at Chatanpally, Shadnagar today in the wee hours, between 3 am and 6 am," Cyberabad Police Commissioner V C Sajjanar had said.

Furthermore, the police stated that the victim was brutally gang raped and killed before the burnt her body in Telangana’s Shamshabad on 27th November.
