Jharkhand: 45-year-old woman’s body chopped into six pieces
In a gruesome incident, a 45-year-old woman’s body was found in a horrifying condition on the bank of a river in the Pakur district of Jharkhand on Monday.
According to India Today reports, the woman’s body was chopped into six pieces and her body was buried on the bank of a river. Allegedly, she was murdered for her involvement in witchcraft, Pakur SP has confirmed.
As per SP Manilal Mandal, seven to eight persons killed the woman and then buried her body on the bank of the the Bansloi river in the Amrapara area of Pakur district.
The 45-year-old woman was missing from February 24 and her family lodged her missing complaint on March 3.
The now deceased was identified as Sona Marandi, who was murdered by seven-eight persons. Recently, a woman’s body was found on the bank of the river.

SIT to investigate case:
According to SP Mandal, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been constituted to investigate the matter. Meanwhile, efforts are being made to nab all the accused.
Reportedly, locals near the Bansloi river noticed the severed leg of the woman and informed the police.
Police reached the spot and started digging the spot and found the woman’s severed head, hands, torso, and legs after three hours.
