Jaipur Shocker: Assailants chop off woman's legs, slit her throat to loot silver anklets
In what was a gruesome incident of crime reported from Jaipur’s Jamwaramgarh area, a 55-year-old woman was hacked to death on Tuesday, with her throat slashed and feet severed. While the police are reportedly suspecting it to be a robbery case, the attackers of the elderly victim continues to be unknown.
According to Police, the killers severed the victim’s feet just to take away her silver anklets, leaving the dead body in the bushes of Khatepura area. The woman’s corpse was recovered by the villagers on Tuesday.
As maintained by the Circle Officer Lakhan Meena, the elderly victim has been identified as Geeta Devi, a resident of Khatepura village who was attacked by miscreants when she had gone into the bushes to graze cattle.
Furthermore, the Circle Officer has stated that besides her throat being cut and legs severed, the victim suffered deep injuries on her head and neck which were caused by a sharp weapon. Reportedly, Meena has informed that the woman’s severed legs were lying near the dead body with the silver anklets missing.
Bharatiya Janata Party’s Rajya Sabha MP Kirodi Lal Meena exhibited fury over the crime and lambasted at the state government. The BJP leader said that Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra should address the crimes in Rajasthan also.
Putting out the gory picture of the episode where the victim’s dead body was found, he said, “Priyanka Gandhi, who is giving the slogan, Ladki Hoon, Lad Sakti Hoon, should look at this incident which happened in Jamwaramgarh in Jaipur today.”
The BJP leader further added that “Is she finding women unsafe only in Uttar Pradesh...The shameful fact is that Rajasthan tops the country in crimes against women. The chief of our state, Mr. Ashok Gehlot is busy only in your glory by ignoring women's safety”.
