Jaipur: Bank employee, five others arrested for murder, robbery of client

Rajasthan Police resolved a horrendous murder cum robbery case and apprehended five people including a main conspirer who worked as customer relations manager at AU bank.

On Monday, attackers gunned down Nikhil Gupta, an owner of a petrol pump who was enroute to deposit cash in a bank in Vishwakarma Industrial Area. The bank employee, identified as Vineet Singh Gaur was conscious of the fact that he came regularly to deposit money and would be carrying Rs 50 lakhs on Monday.

He hatched a plan along with his abettors to rob him and helped five people do a recce of Nikhil. Two of them Chetan Singh and Rishi Raj Singh travelled to Uttar Pradesh to get a gun. On the day of the crime, they came on a bike and murdered him after taking the bag full of money in the parking.

Three others Gautam Singh, Abhay Singh, and Idan Singh waited with another motorcycle some distance away from the crime spot.

Police acquired the footage of the accused and their details through a rival gang. The five accused were arrested within 6 hours. Police have thus far recovered Rs 2.86 lakh. The cool-blooded crime revealed how bank officials who are aware about your confidential information can prove to be dangerous.
