Inebriated man strangles minor son to death for failing to find phone
In a shocking incident of crime reported from Uttar Pradesh, a man allegedly killed his son, aged nine, in front of his four-year-old daughter at their house in Alawalpur Madaiya area on Tuesday.
The accused, identified as Mukesh Batham, carried out the horrific act after the kid was not able to find his mobile phone.
As maintained by case details, On Tuesday, the accused returned home in a drunken condition.He did not remember where he kept his phone. For that reason, he asked his son, identified as Mithun to find the device.
The kid, however, couldn’t find it. Angered over this, the man strangulated him to death and ran away. The victim’s four-year-old sister (Palak), witnessed the gruesome act.
On Wednesday, the victim’s grandfather, named Lakhan Singh, registered a police complaint against Batham. Lakhan Singh told the cops that Batham is addicted to alcohol. His drinking habits forced his wife Vijay Kumari to leave the house. Eight months back, she shifted to Punjab along with four of their six children. Palak and Mithun were staying with Batham, as per The Times of India.
The police, after getting the complaint, lodged a case under IPC Section 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) and took the accused into their custody. The victim’s dead body was sent for post-mortem.
Further investigation into the matter is in process.
