Hyderabad: Cop on lockdown duty brutally attacked by group of youths
As the nation is going through a lockdown phase for 21 days but still some miscreants are breaking the rules. Owing to this we can see Police repeatedly asking people to stay indoors and are also keeping a close eye on all the streets.
Recently, a shocking news was reported from Hyderabad where a cop was brutally thrashed by a group of youths. The incident took place on Saturday around 7 pm when a team of 3 constables and a sub-inspector Venkateshwarulu was patrolling around Allapur.
While patrolling they decided to split to look for miscreants who are not following the law. After they separated, constable Naveen Kumar went to Masjid Gali where he noticed a group of youths and asked them to go home. However, they didn’t listen to him rather started arguing with the constable. They said that they will not disperse rather they will stand together and in the heat of argument, they attacked the constable with sticks. Because of this assault, the constable suffered a fracture in his leg and sustained internal injuries.
The accuse has been booked under Section188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant), 332 (voluntarily causing hurt to a public servant while discharging his duty), 269 (negligent act likely to spread infection of disease dangerous to life), 148 (rioting) of the IPC and section 3 of the Epidemic Diseases Act, 1897. However, no arrest has been yet taken place.
