Hair-raising video shows man crushing stray dog under his car; Maneka Gandhi demands arrest
An inhumane act has been recorded in a CCTV camera, where a man can be seen crushing a stray dog under his car. The horrifying video has now gone viral on social media.
The CCTV footage surfaced the internet after it was tweeted by Member of Parliament and animal rights activist Maneka Gandhi on Tuesday.
She captioned the video: “This is Gurinder Singh s/o Harbans Singh, village Dandupur, Kapurthala in Punjab. He is a breeder and seller of dogs for dog fights. This is what he does to dogs when they are no longer useful. This dog died after 30 minutes of being in excruciating pain.”

Maneka Gandhi also demanded the arrest of Gurinder Singh in another tweet and shared another video of his dogs. She wrote, “Here’s a video of this man’s dogs, which he had been using for dog fights. At night, he took all these dogs & threw them in the lake behind his house. One dog drowned & the others have been rescued by PFA. This man should go to jail.”
In the hair-raising video, the turban clad man can be seen crushing the dog sitting on the road. He started his car without honking and speed away from the spot. He left the dog in the pool of blood on the road.

The locals told the People For Animals (PFA) activists that the dog died within 30 minutes after being brutally crushed by Singh.
With the help of the CCTV footage, the man car’s registration number was captured and then he was identified as Gurinder Singh who lives in Dandupur village in Kapurthala.
Meanwhile, the Tanwandi Chaudharian Police Station has registered a case against the accused on the basis of a complaint filed by PFA activists.
According to India Today, ASI Avtar Singh told that “We have registered a case against the accused. We have no information about the dog. Action will be taken against the accused under the law.”
During the investigation, it was found that the accused used to run a dog-fight ring and kept several dogs in his captivity to use them in the fights.
The Police team along with PFA activists rescued other dogs in Singh’s captivity.
