Gurugram horror: 52-year-old man bludgeoned to death, body dumped in bushes

In a horrifying incident, a 52-year-old labourer from Bihar was allegedly bludgeoned to death and his dead body was dumped in the bushes in Gurugram’s Sector 56, police said.

The deceased victim's son has alleged that a contractor with whom his father had a disagreement over wages was behind the murder.

The police received an information about a blood-soaked dead body lying in the bushes near the Rapid Metro station on Golf Course Road on Wednesday morning and reached the scene, reported news agency PTI.

There were injury marks on the head of the victim and his face indicating that he was struck with a heavy object. A brick was also found lying close to where the dead body was discovered. 

The deceased victim has been identified as Ram Vilas, a native of Bihar.

On the basis of a complaint registered by the victim's son, an FIR was lodged at Sector 56 police station. Sector 56 police station SHO Sanjeev Kumar told PTI that they were looking into CCTV footage to identify the accused.
