Gujarat: Man breaks wife’s spine after she defeats him in ludo game

A shocking news was reported from Gujarat’s Vadodara where a husband allegedly thrashed his 24-year-old wife brutally for defeating him in an online ludo game repeatedly. As per reports the woman has suffered a serious spinal cord injury and is currently under treatment.

As per reports, the woman wanted her husband to stay indoors rather spending time with others in their society. She suggested her husband to play online ludo with her to which he agreed, however, the game turned vicious when her husband brutally assaulted her as she defeated him consecutively for 3-4 rounds in the game.

In the fit of rage, the man thrashed his wife so badly that he broke his wife’s spinal causing a gap between two of her vertebrae. After the heinous incident, the woman was immediately rushed to the orthopaedic surgeon.

The case has also reached to the 181 Abhayam helpline while the woman decided to go to her parents’ home instead of returning to her husband. However, before going to her parents’ house she wanted to go to her home to collect some documents.

The counsellor of Abayam gave the woman two options whether they want to file an FIR or want to settle the issue. To which she chooses to settle the issue as her husband apologised to her after the incident. The counsellor added, “His ego was hurt thinking that wife outsmarted him and was more intelligent as she also contributed to the family income.”

The couple was then counselled to live together and were apprised of the marital discord. The woman will return to her husband’s home after spending a few days with her parents.
