Entire Rajasthan will soon have 5G connectivity
Here comes a piece of good news for the residents of Rajasthan state as the Central Government is planning to connect every village and town in the state with 5G connectivity. For this, the work of installing towers in villages is going to start soon. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has also indicated about the same.
Yesterday, Akash Ambani started Jio's 5G service from Nathdwara in the state. However, at present the 5G service will be available only up to 1 kilometer area in and around the temple premises of Nathdwara. But in next one year, the 5G network will spread in the entire state.
Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, who reached Jaipur yesterday, said that in the coming one year, three big gifts are going to be given to Rajasthan in regards to train, railway station and 5G network. Work on these three projects has already started.
Informing about the ongoing development work in the telecom sector in the state, Vaishnav said that 5,500 new towers have been approved for 7,100 villages of Rajasthan. He further stated that the work of upgrading the 4G towers with 5G equipments have already underway.
With this rate of progress, it is expected that 5G service will be available in the state's major cities by the beginning of the year.
Meanwhile, Work related to railways has already started in Rajasthan. The 'Vande Bharat' train will start running in Jaipur by February-March and as many as 15 stations of the state will be upgraded beautified by the Railway Ministry.
