The state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II will be held at Westminster Abbey in London on September 19. World leaders, including President Draupadi Murmu, have joined the British royal family to bid farewell to Britain's longest-reigning monarch.
500 international leaders among thousands of dignitaries will attend the queen’s burial. It will be one of the biggest funerals in the world.
After ruling for 70 years, the United Kingdom’s longest-reigning monarch passed away last Thursday.
Since Wednesday, the Queen has been lying-in-state in the oldest building on the parliamentary grounds, with thousands of people filing past her coffin to pay their respects.
Meanwhile, ahead of the funeral ceremony, President Droupadi Murmu met King Charles III at Buckingham Palace and offered condolences. The President met the king during a reception hosted by Britain's new monarch at the palace.
