Delhi shocker: 12-year-old brutally raped, admitted to AIIMS in dire condition

In a gut-churning incident, 12-year-old girl was brutally raped and gravely hurt with a sharp object in Delhi’s Paschim Vihar area. The victim was rushed to the Sunjay Gandhi Hospital on 4th August by the Delhi Police in a gory state.

The victim has suffered deep wounds and there was continuous bleeding from her private part. Her entire body was covered in blood and had injury marks caused by sharp object, there were injury marks on her head also. The victim was referred to AIIMS following initial treatment.

Currently, the victim is going through treatment at All India Institutes of Medical Science. The victim’s condition is said to be critical and she is fighting for her life.

The incident happened at a time when she was alone. The police have started an investigation by registering a case against the unknown under POCSO Act and attempted murder. Thus far the police have not been able to catch the accused.

This incident comes a few weeks after another minor girl, who had tested Covid-19 positive, was raped in a COVID-19 care centre in the national capital.

The two boys, accused of raping the 13-year-old, have also video recorded the incident on their phone. The police have lodged a case under the POCSO Act and arrested the two accused.
