Delhi: Decomposed body of 40-year-old AIIMS doctor found hanging at his residence
Another AIIMS doctor found dead at his residence on Friday. The doctor was found hanging at his home in South Delhi’s Gautam Nagar, police said.
The deceased doctor was identified as Dr. Mohit Singhla, who worked in the pediatrics department of AIIMS, Delhi. According to the reports, a PCR call was received in the police station Hauz Khas at 3:10 pm that foul smell was coming out from a house in Gautam Nagar.
According to police, a decomposed body was found hanging in a room locked from inside, on the second floor.
However, the dead body has been sent for post-mortem.
Reportedly, Dr. Mohit had last reported for his work on August 11.
The now-deceased doctor belonged from Panchkula, Haryana and he has been living in Gautam Nagar since 2006.
Reportedly, this is the third doctor’s death of AIIMS Delhi since July.
Recently, on August 10, a second-year medical student died by suicide after he jumped off the roof of the hospital inside the AIIMS Delhi campus. Earlier on July 10, a 25-year-old junior doctor had committed suicide at AIIMS-Delhi by jumping off the 10th floor of the hospital building. According to the report, he was suffering from depression.
