CNG rates hiked by Rs 2.5 per kg, check latest rates here
The price of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) witnessed a further increase of Rs 2.5 per Kg for the second back-to back day on Thursday, April 7. With this, the price of CNG has reached Rs 69.11 per Kg in the national capital and Rs 71.67 per Kg in Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad.
Earlier on Wednesday, CNG prices in Delhi, Mumbai and Gujarat witnessed sharpe increase after the government raised input natural gas prices to record levels. Within a week, there had been a total increase of Rs 9.10 per kg in the total cost of CNG.

Natural gas when compressed, turn into CNG for use as fuel in automobiles. The same gas is also piped to household kitchens and industries for cooking and other purposes.
In the meantime, a record 137 day gap in petrol and diesel price revision concluded on 22nd March. On the same day, the price of a 14.2-kg LPG cylinder was hiked to Rs 949.50 in Delhi. In some places, the LPG price has touched Rs 1,000.
Earlier, MGL had announced a decrease in the price of CNG by Rs 6 per kg and piped gas by Rs 3.50 per scm, effective April 1 after the Maharashtra government cut VAT on the fuel from 13.5 per cent to 3 per cent.
As a consequence, the price of CNG was reduced by Rs 6 to Rs 60 per kg and domestic piped natural gas (PNG) by Rs 3.50 to Rs 36 per standard cubic meter in and around Mumbai. However, the rates have now been hiked.
