Bihar horror: Pregnant woman abducted, gangraped by three men

In the latest incident of crime against women reported from Bihar’s Patna, three men allegedly kidnapped a pregnant woman and gang-raped her on Saturday.

According to the case details, the victim, aged 21, who was six months pregnant was kidnapped by the three accused while she was out for a walk after dinner on Saturday. The took her to an isolated area and gang-raped her. In the meantime, her family began looking for her, as she didn’t return back home.

At around 4 am on Sunday, some passengers saw the victim crying at Patna Railway Junction railway station. The passengers informed the Government Railway Police, who then alerted the Women’s police station.

The police have recorded the arrest for two of the accused. Those taken into police custody have been named as Ankit Kumar, aged 19 and Vishal Kumar, aged 21. the third accused is still at large. All the accused work as daily wagers, as per a report by the Times of India.

Women’s police station SHO Kishore Shahchari said, “After the incident, she urged them (the accused) to make her board a train to Lakhisarai and the two of them took her to the railway station. One of the accused had gone to purchase a ticket when she was spotted crying by the passengers,”

The statement of the victim will be taken in the presence of a judicial magistrate. She and the accused are residents of the same neighbourhood, the SHO said, adding that efforts are being made to trace and nab Shyam.

In another incident, three youths allegedly kidnapped a 17-year-old girl at gunpoint and later gang-raped her at a village in Muzaffarnagar on Wednesday. Following a police complaint by the girl’s father, the police lodged a case against the trio.

The victim’s father, in his police complaint, said that the three youths, including two brothers aged 17 and 16 years, allegedly abducted his minor daughter at gunpoint on Wednesday when she was on her way to dump trash. The three accused took her to the jungle, where they gang raped her and later ran away.
