Bihar: 10-year-old boy kidnapped, murdered by mother's illicit lover
A 10-year-old boy was allegedly abducted and killed by a 30-year-old man who was in an extramarital affair with his mother. The incident took place in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur district. The crime transpired after the victim’s minor kid saw his mother and the accused in an objectionable position.
The victim, identified as Neeraj Kumar, was a native of Laxminia village which falls under the jurisdiction of Baruraj police station. On Friday, Neeraj went missing, following which his family began a search operation. While the family was yet to notify the cops, locals found the missing child’s dead body in a canal on the outskirts of the village.
According to a report by The Times of India, Following this, the 45-year-old mother filed a police complaint against one Sanjay Pandit, blaming him of kidnapping and killing her son. She also alleged that Pandit sodomised her son before killing him.
On the basis on the complaint, the police nabbed pandit, a daily wage worker, upon interrogation Pandit confessed to having killed the kid by throttling him after taking him to the canal.
It became known that pandit was in an illicit relationship with the victim’s mother. “Pandit told the police that Neeraj had spotted his mother with him in an objectionable position a few days ago… It was due to this reason that Pandit killed him so that his illicit relation with the child’s mother who is 15 years elder to him is not leaked to anyone else,” a report by The Times of India quoted a police officer as saying.
Following autopsy, the child’s dead body was given to his family for final rituals. The officer said that further inquiries are on to find if the child’s mother is also involved in the crime or if she knew about Patel’s intention to kill him. She would be questioned after the situation becomes normal at her house.
