Bhopal: Woman doctor held for running sex racket in clinic
A shocking incident came to light from Bhopal where the police busted a sex racket that was running in a clinic in Barkhedi on Tuesday. As per reports, police have arrested 10 people including the 52-year-old lady doctor who runs the racket.
As per police, the doctor is alleged as the kingpin of the racket. The doctor who has a bachelor in Unani Medicine and Surgery does not only operates the racket but also allegedly worked as a sex worker.
DSP Aditi Bhawsar said, “The racket was being operated in a busy area for the last two years, without the police having any clue about it. The ‘clinic’ was open from afternoon till night every day. The ‘popularity’ of the racket can be understood from the fact that during the raid many men knocked on the ‘clinic’ door for their visit. The cell phone of the woman kept ringing continuously after it was seized by the cops.”
As per reports, police received a call from an anonymous person who complains to them about a sex racket being operated from a clinic. They immediately forwarded to the crime branch who then conducted an undercover operation wherein they planted a team who kept an eye on them. They also sent a female constable in disguise to know whether the information is true or false. The constable met the doctor posing as a woman in urgent need of a job. The doctor agreed and offered her the job of a sex worker which confirmed the complaint and immediately lady constable alarmed the team after which a raid was conducted.
After conducting a raid police arrested 4 women and 6 men from the clinic. The main accused is a resident of Ashoka Garden whose husband was also a doctor and it was him who rented this clinic in 1996. However, in 2000 he died and since then she has been running the clinic and has been operating the sex racket from the past two years.
