Armed robber snatches gold chain from 78-year-old woman; know what happens next
An armed robber allegedly snatched a gold chain from a 78-year-old woman in the Pune district of Maharashtra. The incident took place when she went out for a morning walk.
However, the locals and cops chased the accused and nabbed him.
The incident took place on Bajirao Road on Wednesday. The accused robber has been identified as Kunal Raju Kharat (25), a resident of Dattawadi.
The victim was identified as Mangala Tikhe, a resident of Shukrawar Peth. On Wednesday morning, she was out on a morning walk at around 6:30 am. A man approached her and snatched her gold chain worth Rs 65,000, according to a report in Indian Express.

According to the police, the accused tried to escape from the spot but was nabbed. The victim raised an alarm, her son and daughter-in-law tried to nab him.
Police on patrol duty were also alerted and rushed to the spot to catch the accused. The police recovered the gold chain and a sharp weapon from the accused.
Meanwhile, the accused have been arrested and booked at Khadak police station. According to the police, the accused is a known history-sheeter and was booked in several criminal cases.
