After being scolded by parents, girl runs away from home; what follows next is horrific

In a horrifying incident reported from Uttar Pradesh, a 16-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped by three men. The teenager, a school dropout, had fled from her home in Shahganj area after being reprimanded by parents for spendiing most of her time on mobile phone.

The victim was sexually assaulted on the pretext of marriage and shelter on different occasions.

As maintained by police, the victim left her home in March this year after she was scolded by her parents, according to a report in Hindustan Times.

Furthermore, police stated that, the victim initially met her phone friend, identified as Saurabh Singh. Singh raped her multiple times on the pretext of marrying her.

After that, the minor girl met an autorickshaw driver after she was left by Saurabh at Farah in Mathura. The autodriver took the girl to another man, identified as Narayan Thakur. This time, Thakur laced her drink with intoxicant and raped her.

Narayan Thakur kept the girl captive for the next couple of days and kept on raping her. As per investigating police officer from Malwani police station, the accused Narayan Thakur also promised to marry the minor girl.

After the victim was cast aside by Narayan Thakur, she came across another man, identified Sachin Pandit who provided her shelter in an apartment. The girl was subjected to the same unpleasant experience in Uttar Pradesh’s Vrindavan area.

The victim in the end departed from Uttar Pradesh and reached Mumbai where she began living in Malad’s Malwani area.

"After reaching Mumbai, she started staying at an Instagram friend’s house. However, recently they had a dispute and that was when one of them called the police for help. The girl then narrated her ordeal to a female constable,” the report quoted a police officer as saying.

Mumbai Police have registered a case against four individuals including the autodriver and three of the rapists.
