Cannes competition jury member Kristen Stewart showed a rarest sight at the Cannes 2018 festival. The actress walked the red carpet on Monday night before the premiere of Spike Lee’s “BlacKkKlansman."

She wore a sky-high Louboutin spike heels but later ditched the heels before climbing the stairs. She styled her hair locks in sexy and wet curls with smokey eye-shadow and lashings of mascara.

Kristen spoke about the unwritten rule that women must wear heels on the red carpet at Cannes after a group of female attendees were reportedly turned away at the premiere of Carol in 2015 for wearing flat shoes.

“There's definitely a distinct dress code,” Kristen told the Hollywood Reporter in 2017.

“People get very upset at you if you don't wear heels or whatever.”

She further continued, “I feel like you can't ask that anymore, but it's still a given. If you're not asking guys to wear heels and a dress then you can't ask me either.”

Emily Blunt told a press conference that year “Everyone should wear flats, to be honest.”

“Honestly, I was so lucky to exist today, and just really baffled by my place in that.”

Kristen appeared in the trilogy Twilight, a fantasy film based on the series of books by Stephanie Meyer.
