The Sohum Shah starrer has become the first ever Indian Film to open the prestigious Venice International Film Festival Critic's week, sweeping in major accolades from critics.
Presented by Aanand L Rai and Eros International, Tumbbad has managed to captivate the international audience with its intriguing storyline and stunning visuals.
The craft, scale, and technique used in the making of the critically acclaimed film have presented the world with India's moment to shine.
Giona A. Nazzaro, General Delegate of Venice International Critics' Week who watched the film at the film festival appreciated the film saying, "Tumbbad, the first Indian film ever to open the Venice International Film Critics' Week, is a thrilling rollercoaster ride that questions the roots of human greed while providing entertainment of the purest kind.
Co-produced by Filmi Vast and Filmgate Films, Tumbbad is set to release on October 12 in Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, and Telugu.
Venice Critics' Week is an independent section rolling out at the same time as the Venice Film Festival which is celebrating its landmark 75th year with this edition.
