The global desi girl of India Priyanka Chopra wants to give voice to voiceless with the help of UNICEF. Priyanka Chopra is currently shooting for the third instalment of the 'Quantico'. Taking some moment from her busy schedule the megastar of India talked about Feminism.
Talking about feminism and man-ism the actress said, “need for feminism was created because there were no rights for women. That’s why there is not a man-ism because they always had it”.
“I see so many girlfriends of mine who are like, ‘No I’m not that much of a feminist.’ I don’t even understand that. The need for feminism was created because there were no rights for women. That’s why there is not a man-ism, because they always had it,” The actress told Variety magazine.
Priyanka Chopra also took it to Twitter and shared the cover photo of Variety magazine, “Thank you @Variety for making me one of your #PowerOfWomen honorees.... Grateful and humbled to be honored alongside such talented women.”
The 35-year-old actress further described feminism and said most people have the wrong idea about feminism, being feminist is not at all about hating the man or proving that we are better than them. Feminism is all about giving opportunities to women without judging for the decisions that they will make. Women's should be given same freedom as men.
On work-front Priyanka Chopra is currently shotting for Quantico season 3 and other than that she had two Hollywood movies lined up namley 'A Kid Like Jake' and Isn’t It Romantic? Priyanka had also signed for Rakesh Sharma's biopic.
