Official synopsis of Tom Cruise starrer 'The Mummy' finally released

FINALLY! The wait is over for all the Tom Cruise fans, as the Twitter handle of 'The Mummy' has finally shared a short teaser of the film.

The Mummy is starring The Kingsman fame Sofia Boutella as the monster in the first installment of the Dark Universe film series.

The movie will feature a world that will introduce many famous crossovers, you can also expect some of the most infamous ghouls of the studios.

Universal Pictures also released movie's official synopsis stating that "Thought safely entombed in a crypt deep beneath the unforgiving desert, an ancient queen (Sofia Boutella of Kingsman: The Secret Service and Star Trek Beyond) whose destiny was unjustly taken from her, is awakened in our current day, bringing with her malevolence grown over millennia and terrors that defy human comprehension. From the sweeping sands of the Middle East through hidden labyrinths under modern-day London, The Mummy brings a surprising intensity and balance of wonder and thrills in an imaginative new take that ushers in a new world of gods and monsters."

The star cast of the movie includes Mission Impossible actor Tom Cruise, Sofia Boutella, Annabelle Wallis, Jake Johnson, Courtney B. Vance, Marwan Kenzari, and Russell Crowe.

The movie will hit the cinema in India on 9 June.
