Katy Perry breaks down as she pays tribute to Manchester victims

Katy Perry broke down in tears while paying tribute to the victims of the Manchester terror attack as she performed in London on Thursday.

The ' Firework' singer honoured the 22 victims killed in the terrorist bombing that followed an Ariana Grande concert at Manchester Arena on Monday.

'This week has been really hard. It was hard for you guys and it was hard for me because we all love music,' she said as she held back tears, reports People Magazine.

'We all listen to the same music, and you think about it, and think that's my friend, that's my sister, that's my brother, that's my cousin, that's the person that loves music.'

Adding, 'It's awful, and whatever you can do to help, you should. And if you can't do anything that's fine, but what you should do is not let them win. I'm going to sing this next song for them. They can never take that part from us ever. Ever.'

Katy then called for a moment of silence, which was met with bowed heads and total stillness as the audience members kept the victims in their thoughts.

'Rest in peace,' she said sombrely, before playing her hit single ' Piece Of Me'.

Singer Celine Dion also honoured the victims with a powerful tribute at her Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace earlier this week.
