The white shirtdress with handkerchief hem was accessorised with a thin black belt, black Givenchy pumps and a structural black and white hat by Philip Treacy.
Meghan also wore gold earrings by her favourite jewellery brand Birks, and her wedding bands.
During her outing at Ascot, the duchess mingled with the rest of the royal family and watched the races.
Following her appearance, royal-watchers pointed out that perhaps Meghan turned to her sister-in-law, Catherine, for some sartorial advice ahead of her Ascot debut. Fans noted that Meghan chose a silhouette—a buttoned up shirt dress with long sleeves and collar—that Kate has worn several times.
