As the days are passing, new symptoms of coronavirus have come to light, but not vaccine. Besides, with high fever, short breath problems, doctors have found a range of unpleasant symptoms in the patients.
Now, a new study revealed two new mild symptoms that could be an indication that the person has contracted the virus.
According to the reports in metro.co.uk, researchers from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in Wuhan have issued warning that a headache and dizziness could also be indicators that you have been infected.
The study came after researchers analysed 214 coronavirus patients and asked them about their COVID-19 symptoms.
The research revealed that 36 percent of patients have experienced some neurological symptoms, including headache, muscle inflammation, dizziness, and nerve pain.
In some cases, symptoms were described alongside respiratory symptoms, including a cough and fever.
“Some patients without typical symptoms (fever, cough, anorexia, and diarrhea) of COVID-19 came to the hospital with only neurologic manifestation as their presenting symptoms,” study published in JAMA Neurology, the researchers, led by Ling Mao.
“Therefore, for patients with COVID-19, we need to pay close attention to their neurologic manifestations, especially for those with severe infections, which may have contributed to their death,” study said.
“Moreover, during the epidemic period of COVID-19, when seeing patients with these neurologic manifestations, physicians should consider SARS-CoV-2 infection as a differential diagnosis to avoid delayed diagnosis or misdiagnosis and prevention of transmission.”
On the other hand, the common symptoms of the virus are dry cough, high body temperature, and breathing problems.
However, patients who are experiencing any of the symptoms, the government saying they must self-isolate for at least seven days
While some people also experienced some uncommon signs being which include lesions on the feet, testicular pain and a strange sensation on the skin.
Others have reported feeling increased levels of mental fatigue or 'brain fog' shortly before being diagnosed.
