Indian skipper Virat Kohli and Indian football captain Sunil Chhetri, both of them are expert in thier particular field and put all possible efforts to led Indian team at the top. Virat Kohli backed his good friend's appeal on twitter himself, making appeal to fans to support all kinds of sports if they want to see India as a sporting nation.
On the other hand, Chhetri made a plea in a video posted on twitter, cited that those who are not fans or have lost hope to come and watch them playing in stadiums, even if they want to criticise then they can although this an important time for Indian football.
The statement came just after a day when Indian football captain's hat-trick helped him achieve a remarkable feat, beating Chinese Taipei 5-0 in Mumbai in the Intercontinental Cup. Indian football captain Sunil Chhetri is third on the list of the highest active goalscorers in international football with 59 goals to his name.
As per reported in Indian Express Kohli cited that “In support of what my good friend and Indian captain Sunil Chhetri posted sometime back, I want to request everyone to go and watch Indian football play. Anyone who loves any kind of sport, go and cheer for the team in the stadiums because they are working hard, they are a talented team and I have seen these players evolve and learn over the last few seasons and get so much better at their game.”
