Pathaan Controversy

Before the release, the Shah Rukh Khan starrer indulged in controversy with the release of ‘Besharam Rang’song. Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra fumed over the use of a saffron-colored bikini in the song that actress Deepika Padukone wore. The saffron-colored bikini also hurt the sentiments of several Hindus which ignited the ‘boycott 'Pathaan’ trend on the internet. Several Hindu priests also came forward in opposition to the film.

Amid protests Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), after reviewing the movie, instructed the makers to remove some shots from ‘Pathaan’, including the ‘Besharam Rang’song.

Amid nationwide protests, Shah Rukh Khan’s fanatics are celebrating his comeback on the big screens. Movie tickets are sold like hotcakes and people are eager to watch their favorite star on the big screens.

Directed by Siddharth Anand, the action-packed movie stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in pivotal roles. Moreover, this action flick will be released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
