Mumbai: The highly anticipated biopic 'SRI,' featuring Rajkummar Rao and Alaya F, has a new release date, as revealed by the makers on Thursday.

'SRI' is scheduled to hit theatres on May 17, 2024, with Jyotika and Sharad Kelkar playing pivotal roles alongside Rajkummar Rao and Alaya F.

Early Struggles and Triumphs

Srikanth Bholla faced significant challenges, from battling opposition since birth to a legal struggle post-class 10 for pursuing science. However, driven by his aspirations, he not only excelled in his tenth and twelfth exams but also became the first blind international student at the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA.

Production Details and Previous Release Date

The project is jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar's T-Series and Chalk N Cheese Films Production LLP. Initially slated for release on September 15, 2023, the film's new release date heightens anticipation.

Rao's Busy Schedule

Apart from 'SRI,' Rajkummar Rao is set to dazzle the audience in multiple projects, including 'Stree 2,' 'Mr and Mrs Mahi,' 'Guns and Gulaabs Season 2,' and 'Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video,' where he shares the screen with Triptii Dimri. Currently, the actor is immersed in shooting for the latter in Rishikesh.
