The new year looks promising for Bollywood as many good movies with popular star cast will see the light. January itself has a string of impressive movies that are to be released. Out of which 5 much-awaited movies will be releasing between January 25&26.
1. 2.0
To begin with, we have the Rajnikanth, Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0. The film also includes
Amy Jackson, Sudhanshu Pandey, Adil Hussain, Kalabhavan Shajohn, Riyaz Khan, to name a few. 2.0 is a Sci-Fi/Superhero film that is said to be the first Indian film directly shot in 3D. The movie is a sequel to the 2010 Tamil film Enthiran, in which Rajinikanth plays the roles of Dr. Vaseegaran and Chitti. The film is scheduled to release on January 25, 2018. The science fiction film is written and directed by S. Shankar, co-written by B. Jeyamohan, and produced by Subaskaran Allirajah.
2. Five
Directed by Omung Kumar 'Five' is a psychological thriller. Nothing much is out about the film except that the story revolves around Akshay Kumar and he will be seen in five different roles. He probably deals with multiple personality disorder or portrays five different people. The movie will release on January 26, 2018.
3.Chanda Mama Door Ke
Yet another sci-fi is on a roll. Directed by Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan and produced by Viki Rajani, Chanda Mama Door Ke has Sushant Singh Rajput, R. Madhavan, Shraddha Kapoor in the lead. Sushant Singh plays an astronaut in the movie and R. Madhavan portrays the role of a test pilot. The film talks about the journey of India's space programme and culminates with India's first astronaut landing on the moon in 2017–18. The film is scheduled to be released on 26 January.
4.Aiyaary
Director Neeraj Pandey's much talked about film Aiyaary too is releasing on January 26. The star cast of the film includes Manoj Bajpayee, Sidharth Malhotra, Rakul Preet Singh, Naseeruddin Shah, and Anupam Kher. The most appealing part about the film is that it is based on a real-life incident. The crime drama has Sidharth Malhotra and Manoj Bajpayee in the lead roles.
5.Padman
Last, but certainly not the least, is Akshay Kumar's Padman. The film is directed by the popular director R. Balki. Apart from Akshay Kumar, the star cast includes Abhishek Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor, and Radhika Apte. Padman is a comedy-drama based on Twinkle Khanna's book, 'The Legend Of Lakshmi Prasad'. The book is inspired by the life of Arunachalam Muruganantham, a Tamil Nadu-based social activist. Muruganantham is known for revolutionizing the concept of menstrual hygiene in rural India by creating a low-cost sanitary napkins machine.
