NTA UGC NET Exam 2021: December 2020 cycle exam postponed; read official notification

UGC NET 2020 December Exam Postponed: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released a notice regarding the postponement of the UGC NET December cycle exam today.

NTA UGC NET December exams were scheduled to begin from May 2 which has now been postponed till further notice.

Taking the information to Twitter, NTA announced that UGC NET 2021 May exam has been postponed. The new dates will be announced at least 15 days before the examination.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Minister of Education has informed that Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has advised NTA to postpone the examination.

"Keeping in mind the safety & well-being of candidates during #covid19outbreak, Minister of Education, Govt. of India Shri @DrRPNishank has advised @DG_NTA to postpone the UGC-NET Dec 2020 cycle (May 2021) exams".

For UGC NET December 2020 cycle exam, lakhs of candidates have registered for the UGC NET 2021 May exams. Earlier, the exams for the December cycle had been postponed and were scheduled to be held in May 2021.

As per the latest update, the new dates for the NTA UGC NET exam will be notified at least 15 days ahead of the examinations. If the exam would start from June 1 then NTA would release the exam date notification by May 15. Also, the UGC NET admit card would be released after the new dates of examinations are notified.
