NEET Exam 2019: Alert! This new change will give a sigh of relief to candidates planning to study MBBS

It must be good news for the aspirants who are going to opt MBBS degree via a medical entrance examination, NEET this year. The Medical Council of India (MCI) Gazette has made a big announcement or a change to the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) score that will give a sigh of relief to the aspirants who are willing to study MBBS from universities abroad.

According to the MCI Gazette, the validity for NEET score has been increased from one to three years. This new clause would come into effect w.e.f the date of publication, i.e. 14th March 2019.

Please make a note that this validity of NEET score is only for the Screening Test Regulations for those candidates who are planning to study medical related courses in foreign countries. However, score validity for admissions to Indian medical or dental colleges/universities would remain unchanged.

Previously, aspirants who were planning to study abroad had to get a certification of eligibility from the Ministry of Health. However, it was made mandatory last year when MCI announced that NEET qualifiers will have to obtain a certificate of eligibility.

As per the recent notification released on 1st March, candidates will have to qualify NEET exam to get the admissions for MBBS or medical related courses abroad.
