JEE Main 2020 Exam amid COVID: Exams from tomorrow; know what's allowed and what's not in the examination centre
Amid the furore over the conducting of JEE Main examinations by aspirants and other political parties, the National Testing Agency will be going to conduct the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE Main 2020 from September 1, 2020. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, students want to postpone the examination. However, the government nodded to conduct the examination between September 1 and September 6.
In the wake of COVID-19, NTA has made some changes in the list of items that are allowed inside the examination centre.
This year, NTA released a 4 page admit card, which also includes a declaration form. Hence, candidates are required to fill the form carefully, and don’t forget to carry it on the day of the exam.
Check out the list of items that are allowed to take inside the examination centre:
1. Don’t forget to carry your JEE Main 2020 exam admit card.
2. Bring your Government ID such as Aadhar Card, Passport, Drivers License, etc
3. Carry ballpoint pen as this year NTA will not be going to provide pens at the examination centre, due to the pandemic.
4. Students are advised to take their additional passport size photogram for the attendance sheet. Please note, the invigilator will provide sanitizer before giving the attendance sheet to the student.
5. Candidates are allowed to carry their 50 ml hand sanitizer bottle.
6. There will be multiple points at examination centre where students will get the sanitizer
7. Aspirants can bring their transparent water bottle. Students must ensure that their bottle should be clear and doesn’t have any labels on it.

Know what is not allowed inside the examination hall:
1. No electronic devices are allowed to carry inside the examination hall like mobile phones, digital watches, etc. However, students are asked to download the Aarogya Setu app in their phones. Please note, your mobile phones will be submitted outside the examination centre.
2. Students are not allowed to carry their rough sheets with them. Invigilators will place rough sheets by wearing gloves in a bid to maintain hygiene at the centre.
3. Wear light coloured clothes and also wear open-toe sandals or slippers.
Note: Candidates are advised to follow the social distancing norms during the exam. Also, report to the examination centre on the given time.
