Good news! Now minority community youth to get special training under this Central Govt training scheme; details inside
It must be good news for the minority communities that the Central government has given a free training opportunity under a governmental scheme i.e. 'Seekho Aur Kamao'.
Under this central government scheme, candidates from minority communities, including Muslims, Christians, Buddhists, Sikhs, Jains and Parsis.
Seekho Aur Kamao scheme was initiated in 2013-14 by the Ministry of Minority Affairs for skill development.
With the help of this scheme, there will be upgradation of the minority youth in various modern or traditional skills depending on their educational qualification.
As per the AISECT group’s Executive Vice President Siddharth Chaturvedi, ‘For the Seekho Aur Kamao scheme, we will aim for placement of at least 75 per cent of the trained youth, with 50 per cent of them being placed in the organized sector. We will be focusing on minorities including Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Parsis and Jains and will earmark 33 per cent for the minority community girls.’
He also added that through services like RojgarMantra.com and Rojgar Melas, they are aiming to bridge the gap between the skilled minorities and the industry.
Planning to train 950 minority community youth:
As per the agreement of AISCET with Ministry, under the Seekho Aur Kamao scheme 16 districts will be targeted and it will start in March 2019, includes Harda, Jabalpur, Indore, Shajapur, Shopian and Sopore Baramulla in Jammu and Kashmir, Sagar in Madhya Pradesh, Deoria and Farrukhabad in Uttar Pradesh, Nasik in Maharashtra, Sikhar in Rajasthan, Silampur and Malda in West Bengal and Raipur and Durg in Chhattisgarh.
Eligibility:
The minimum age limit for candidates who can participate in the training scheme is 18 years while the maximum age limit is 35 years.
The educational qualification for candidates who can apply is ranging from 8th Class to Diploma/12th/Graduate/Post Graduate.
Selected candidates will be paid a monthly stipend of Rs 1500 for two months.
