CBSE paper leak: Board asks Delhi Police to take strict action against menance of fake news; FIR registered

The Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE has requested Delhi Police to take strict action against those spreading fake news about Class 10th and Class 12th board exam paper leak on Monday. 

According to the reports of news agency ANI, 'Central Board of Secondary Education: CBSE requests Delhi Police to take suitable & strict action against the menace of fake news about CBSE exam paper leaks,' Rama Sharma, CBSE's SPRO said. Also, FIR has been filed on 6th March in the matter.

 

CBSE Board exam has already begun from 15th February 2019. Earlier, CBSE has also released the notification in which it has mentioned to all the students and parents to be aware of the paper leak news during the exam.

Last year, the fake news about the paper leak had spread on social media due to which panic situation created among students. 

Also, Board students were made protest against the CBSE's decision to hold re-examination of Class 10 Mathematics and Class 12 Economics papers, which were allegedly leaked on social media.

This year also, Board spotted several false uploads on YouTube and social media which are claiming that original question paper of subjects like Accountancy, Chemistry for class 12th while English, Mathematics and Science of Class 10th whose examination is yet to be conducted, available to download.

In a wake of no paper leak this year, Board has requested Delhi Police to take strict action against it and also an FIR has been filed in this connection under provisions of IPC and IT Act.

To conduct the Board examination free and fair, CBSE has taken several security steps so that the sanctity of the examination will be maintained.
