Bihar: Students forced to write exam on open grounds; here’s the reason

A bizarre incident has come to light from Bihar where students forced to write their examinations on open ground on Sunday.

According to the reports of ANI, “Students wrote their exam in open in RLSY College, Bettiah yesterday.”

The reason behind this was overcrowding in the exam center that made students sit in the open space.

"Capacity of college is about 2000, but over 5000 students have been allotted exam center here. We've requested concerned authorities to build exam hall on campus,” says Examination In-Charge.

The students were found writing for the GS exams in the corridors, and the crowded atmosphere of the grounds. Because of this mass copying was reported in the exam center.

Due to the lack of an examination hall in the center, a high number of students were unable to sit for the examination, said RLSY College, exam-in-charge, Dr. Rajeshwar Prasad.

“The college has the capacity to accommodate 2,000 students, but the students coming for the examinations are more than 5,000. Due to more students, this situation has occurred in our college,” Dr Prasad told ANI.

"This problem can only be solved with the construction of a proper examination hall that can accommodate more students. We have contacted all authorities concerned, but an exam hall is yet to be constructed," he added.
