Assam Police Recruitment 2019: Apply for 2,000 vacant posts released for various posts; know selection procedure

The State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB), Assam, has invited application form for various posts on its official website. The job notification has released under the police department. The application process for the same was begun from 15th June and the last date to apply for the vacancies is June 30th, 2019.

As per the notification, vacancies released to fill a total of 2,000 vacant positions like steno, DEO, typist, peon and several posts of foreigner's tribunal under the Assam government.

Candidates will be selected on a contractual basis for two years.

• Data Entry Operator - 400 posts
• Copyist - 200 posts
• Office Peon - 200 posts
• Typist - 200 posts
• Stenographer Gr. - 200 posts
• Lower Division Assistant - 200 posts
• UDA-cum - Accountant - 200 posts
• Bench Assistant - 200 posts
• Chowkidar - 200 posts

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Data Entry Operator:

Candidates who have passed HSSLC can apply for the position

2. Stenographer Gr:

Applicant should have completed Graduate in any discipline

3. UDA-cum – Accountant:

Candidates should hold the degree of Graduation in Commerce

4. Bench Assistant:

Graduate in any discipline can apply for the post

5. Typist:

Applicants should have the degree of graduation in any discipline

6. Lower Division Assistant:

Graduate in any discipline can apply now

7. Copyist:

HSSLC passed aspirants can submit an application form

Note: Candidate must be a citizen of India, and a resident of Assam.

Check pay scale post-wise:

Candidates who will qualify the exam will be eligible to receive the following per month salary:

• Data entry operator- Rs10, 000
• UDA-cum-accountant- Rs 35,000
• Stenographer Gr- Rs 35,000
• Lower Division Assistant- Rs 30,000
• Bench Assistant- Rs 30,000
• Typist- Rs 30,000
• Copyist- Rs 9,000
• Office Peon- Rs 9,000
• Chowkidar- Rs 9,000

Age Limit:

Age limit required to apply for the vacancies is between 18 and 38 years. Age relaxation will be given as per government norms.

Selection process:

Candidates will be selected on the basis of a written and a practical test.
