Man stabs woman to death with a pair of scissors, co-worker held
In a latest development coming in from the national capital, a 37-year-old woman was murdered by her friend after she denied to have a physical relationship with him. The accused, identified as Chand Alam, was in love with his colleague at a cloth-export firm at Pul Pehlad Pur. Police have so far managed to take the accused into their custody and recovered the murder weapon.
As maintained by the Delhi Police, the victim, identified as Jharna, aged 37, used to sew clothes. The duo soon became friends and began spending time together. Shortly after, the woman started to demand money from the accused, who in turn started giving her Rs 6,000 every month.
In February, the accused learnt that Jharna was in a similar kind of friendship with another man, identified as Suraj. On this issue, the duo fought and the accused stopped giving her money.
On 21st November, the accused met the victim at Badarpur bus stop and took her to an abandoned house near a railway track in Okhla's Tehkhand. The accused pressurized the victim to get physical and then stabbed her in the neck with a scissor which she was carrying in her bag.
The accused, a native of Okhla’s Indira Kalyan Vihar, covered the deceased's dead body with plastic and smashed her mobile phone with a rock.
According to sources, Chand Alam disposed the murder weapon and blood-stained clothes in a drain.
