Delhi shocker: Man shot dead by friend after altercation over construction
In a horrifying incident reported from the national capital, a man was allegedly shot dead by his friend after the duo had and altercation over constructing a shanty in Delhi’s Anand Parbat locality.
On the intervening night of 3rd August, a PCR call was received by Anand Prabat Police Station, where the caller notified that his brother had been shot at. Upon receiving the information, police arrived at the crime spot only to find that the injured has been taken to Jeevan Mala Hospital by his family members.
The victim who had sustained a bullet injury was declared dead on arrival by the doctors.
Subsequently, a murder case was registered at Anand Parbat police station on the basis of the statements of eye witnesses and an investigation was taken up.
Investigation unveiled the the victim, identified as Deepak and the accused Gurdeep, were friends for some time. The duo had an altercation over the issue of constructing a jhuggi in the locality, which culminated to a fight between the duo. Thereafter, Gurdeep called his friends and Deepak was shot dead.
The victim (Deepak) succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital.
In the meantime, three accused persons have been taken into police custody and at least three other accused are currently at large. Efforts are underway to trace and arrest the accused.
