Delhi: Fire breaks out at Kirari furniture market

A Fire has broken out in a furniture market in Delhi's Kirari area on Tuesday morning. Eight fire tenders have been rushed to the spot to douse the fire.

No one has been reported injured in the incident.

No casualty was reported till now, they added.

The fire department received a call about the blaze at 9 am, after which eight fire tenders were rushed to the spot, the officials said, adding that there was no one inside the furniture godown when the fire broke out.

The three-story building occupied a total area of about 300 square yards, they said.

On Monday, a fire broke out in the Anaj Mandi on Rani Jhansi road. Four fire tenders have been rushed to the spot and were trying to douse the fire.

A massive fire broke out in the same building on Sunday.

Forty-three people were killed in a massive fire that swept through a factory operating from a residential area in Delhi's Anaj Mandi on Rani Jhansi road early on Sunday. Over 50 people have been rescued so far.

The fire, which erupted due to a short-circuit, has been doused and rescue efforts are underway. Many people trapped inside were rescued and rushed to RML Hospital, LNJP, and Hindu Rao Hospital, fire officials said.

The mishap was reported at around 5:22 AM following which 30 fire tenders were rushed to the spot. Chaotic scenes were witnessed at the site of the fire incident with relatives and locals rushing to the area.
