Yuvraj Singh, Irfan Pathan get enmeshed in funny banter over former’s 'Ben Stokes' analogy tweet

Former Indian cricketers Yuvraj Singh and Irfan Pathan on Wednesday embroiled in a hysterical banter on Twitter over former’s Ben Stokes analogy post.

Whatever the format, whatever the circumstances, Ben Stokes carries on to deliver match-winning performances for England's cricket team. The latest masterclass by the all-rounder has taken the Test series against the West Indies to a decider.

The English all-rounder delivered an important contributions with bat and ball to lead the three-lions to a 113-run victory late on the final day of the second Test, tying the series at 1-1.

Former left-arm pacer who looked impressed with England all-rounder's heroics, tweeted that the Indian team would become unbeatable if they had players like Ben Stokes.

"Indian cricket will be unbeatable anywhere in the world if they have a match-winning all-rounder like @benstokes38 #matchwinner," wrote Irfan.

In the meantime, the men in blues first-choice all-rounder Hardik Pandya last featured for India during the South Africa T20Is in September 2019 after which he underwent back surgery in October. The 26-year-old's back complaint had kept him in and out of the team since mid-2018.

Hardik Pandya has not taken part in red-ball cricket since the Southampton Test against England in August-September 2018. His back injury had forced him to return home from the 2018-19 Border-Gavaskar series in Australia.

Former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh was quick to notice Irfan's tweet and in order to poked fun at his former teammate as replied: "Are you saying we don’t have an all-rounder who’s a match-winner?"

In his response, Irfan wrote: "Bro Yuvraj Singh has retired"

Above all, Yuvraj Singh, who called it a day from international cricket in 2019, was Man of the Tournament during India's World Cup win in 2011, all thanks to his all-round heroics. Yuvraj also praised Irfan for his contribution to the Indian side during his playing days. Irfan, who started his international career as a bowler, batted in top three for the Men in Blue on a few occasions too.
