Indian all rounder player Hardik Pandya who is making headlines with his outstanding performance with the bat in recently-concluded test series, has made his father Himanshiu Pandya surprised by gifting a brand new car.

The 23-years-old took to Twitter and posted a series of Tweets saying that his father deserves all the happiness in his life.

Bursting onto the scene as a T20 specialist for Mumbai Indians, the young Baroda all-rounder marked his debut Test series with a smashing century in the ongoing third and final match.

Interestingly, the moment was captured in the video that went viral on the social media.

Hardik uploaded a video on his official Twitter account telling his father that the car he was standing next to was his. Ecstatic Pandya's father was left stunned and his reaction can't be missed.

"So glad to see his face lit up like that. This is the guy who should get all the happiness in life and deserves all the credit - my dad," wrote Hardik.

"He was the one who left everything he had for me and @krunalpandya_official, which takes a lot of courage to do. Only for our careers and I can't thank him enough for all he has done. So that's a small surprise for him which made me cry. Family is life and special mention to my brother @vibsnasir for getting this done when I was not around. Love to all."

Hardik's maiden Test hundred propelled India to pile 487 runs on the board in the first innings of the third Test against Sri Lanka in Pallekele on Sunday. Pandya who came into bat at number eight, scored 108 runs off just 96 balls.

His 26 runs against spinner Pushpakumara's over set a new record of most number of runs scored by an Indian in one over in Tests.

India won the third Test match against Sri Lanka and clinched the series by 3-0.
