India won a series clinching win against Sri Lanka in the third T20I in Rajkot on January 7. And guess who grabbed the limelight? Yes, it was, Suryakumar Yadav. He single-handedly led the team by hammering an unbeaten knock of 112 runs in just 51 balls.
Yadav, who is in tremendous form, scored 112 runs with seven fours and nine gigantic sixes. The ‘Men in Blue’ scored 228 runs in 20 overs with a loss of five wickets, which Sri Lanka failed to chase successfully. The Lions got bowled out for just 137 in 16.4 overs.
Talking about Suryakumar, the swashbuckling batter has reached his third T20I ton in a six-month period. In July last year, he scored his first century against England in Nottingham. His 117 runs went in vain, as India lost the match. SKY again smashed 100 against New Zealand in November last year at Mount Maunganui and received the Player of the Match award for his marvelous performance.
In a very short span, SKY proved his batting ability to the world and was also praised by his fellow teammates.
In a video, that has gone viral on internet, India spinner Yuzvendra Chahal could be seen praising the 32-year-old batter for his performance and kissing his hand.

Apart from SKY, Shubman Gill scored 46, got out before his half century, and Rahul Tripathi clobbered a quickfire 35-run knock off 16 deliveries. Bowler Arshdeep Singh took three wickets in 2.4 overs.
Sri Lanka's top-scorer was captain Dasun Shanaka, who scored 23 runs off 17 balls. Dilshan Madushanka took two wickets for the Sri Lankan team, but he also gave 55 runs in four overs.
