Virat Kohli surpasses Sachin Tendulkar to make yet another world record
India skipper Virat Kohli became the fastest batsman in the world to reach 20,000 international runs surpassing Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara. Virat Kohli took 417 innings to achieve the milestone whereas both Tendulkar and Lara took 483 innings to reach 20,000 international runs.
Earlier in the tournament, Virat Kohli became the fastest batsmen to score 11,000 ODI runs surpassing Sachin Tendulkar again. Kohli achieved the feat against Pakistan at Old Trafford, Manchester where he also scored his 20,000th international run.
India is playing their 6th match of the World Cup against West Indies. After winning the toss Indian skipper Virat Kohli decided to bat first. Rohit Sharma lost his wicket early in the game after he was given out when West Indies took a successful review.
KL Rahul fell short of just two runs from another World Cup fifty as he was clean bowled by Jason Holder for 48 runs.
India is the only team in this World Cup who have not lost a single game so far and are maintaining a 100 percent win ratio. India is currently sitting at number three on the points table and is just two wins away from qualifying for the semi-final.
