Virat Kohli shatters yet another record of Sachin Tendulkar
Indian skipper, Virat Kohli, who is popularly known as the run-machine, has shattered yet another record during the fifth ODI against West Indies on 6 July at Sabina Park in Kingston.
Kohli, considered as the king of chases, has left the cricket great Sachin Tendulkar behind for most hundreds in the 50-over format while chasing. Earlier this year in January, the right-handed batsman broke Tendulkar's record for most centuries in successful run-chases.
The Indian captain hit his 28th ODI century off 108 balls following which India beat the West Indies by 8 wickets to win the 5-match series 3-1.
The latest century was Kohli's 18th century in a chase, while Tendulkar had a record of 17 tons.
Interestingly, Kohli took only 102 innings to reach the milestone of 18 centuries, while Tendulkar had taken 232 innings to reach 17 hundreds.
Sri-Lankan cricketer Tillakaratne Dilshan is placed third in the list with 11 centuries in 116 innings.
