Virat Kohli shares his retirement plans ahead of ODI series against Australia
Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli Today in a press-conference disclosed his retirement plans, when asked by a reporter what is he going to do after his retirement. Kohli who is still 30-years-old said that he don’t want to be around the cricketing scene after he retires, he would probably holidaying with his family.
Kohli said, as far as he is concerned playing more cricket when he is done, he is not in that zone yet. “I played enough cricket in the last five years and I can’t comment on even the first thing I’m gonna do when I retire. I don’t feel like I’m gonna pick up the bat again. I am spent, the day I finish I’ll be totally spent, so I don’t see myself coming back again and again. Once I’m done, I would be done and I won’t be seen around the scene,” Kohli added.
Virat Kohli led-Indian team won the four-match Test series against Australia by 2-1 and retained the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. India also became the first Asian Team to win a Test series in Australia and won their first Test series against the Kangaroos in their 71-years of Test cricket history.
The three-match ODI series will start from January 12 in Sydney. MS Dhoni will replace Rishabh Pant as the wicket-keeper, while Mohammed Siraj will replace Jasprit Bumrah. Khaleel Ahmed too is included in the ODI squad along with Siddharth Kaul.
