Trouble! CSK skipper MS Dhoni sues Amrapali group for not paying him Rs 150 crore
MS Dhoni has enjoyed the brand value in the Indian market, very few have reached. There was a time that Sachin Tendulkar had the hold on the prime brands when it came to the advertising industry. Virat Kohli presently is the poster boy for Indian advertisement industry. However, Dhoni still holds a mammoth share of the brands.
Reportedly, MS Dhoni has sued the real estate giant Amrapali group for Rs 150 crores that the firm allegedly owes to the former Indian skipper.
The amount is due since last several years according to Economic Times' report. In fact, MS Dhoni has been the brand ambassador to the real estate giant for some years. Dhoni later in 2016, stepped down as the brand ambassador of the group after the group's name surfaced in the social media campaigns that were raising the issue of defaulting by the realtors.
Dhoni is currently leading the IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings as its skipper. CSK has started its campaign strong registering wins in its both the matches. CSK has returned after serving a ban of two years after the team owners were found to be involved in betting and spot-fixing.
