Glamorgan have shown an interest in signing Pakistan’s Fakhar Zaman for the first few games of the 2019 Vitality Blast, which is England’s domestic T20 tournament.
Glamorgan are considering Fakhar Zaman as a potential replacement for Australia’s Shaun Marsh, who was ruled out of the World Cup after suffering a broken arm during practice.
Zaman could join Glamorgan for the first four games as Mitchell Marsh, who is Shaun’s brother, will join the side after their first four Vitality Blast matches.
Zaman had a dismaying World Cup campaign as he amassed 186 runs in eight matches, which included just one fifty, at an average of 23.25.
Talking about his T20 International career, the 29 year old opener has represented the national team in 30 matches, where he has cumulated 748 runs, which includes four fifties, at an average of 25.79.
Glaorgan will kick start their Vitality Blast campaign against Somerset in Cardiff on Thursday
