Shoiab Akhtar believes that Bangladesh are capable of doing what Pakistan couldn't do

Pakistan cricket legend Shoiab Akhtar feels that Bangladesh are efficient enough to beat team India on Tuesday.

Pakistan cricket team fell short of beating India in their much- anticipated World Cup clash on June 16th, notwithstanding that Shoiab Akhtar believes that the way Bangladesh team have been playing in the World Cup 2019, the can disappoint the men in blue.

Team India got defeated in their last match against the host England by 31 runs, while Bangladesh got better off Afghanistan by 62 runs in their most recent clash.

“We must not forget that Bangladesh are also in with a chance of qualifying for the semi-finals,” Akhtar was quoted as saying by cricketpakistan.com.pk. “They are eager to play in the semis and will give it their all against India. If they bat first and score a good total, India will be under a lot of pressure. I hope Bangladesh can do what Pakistan could not,”.

“Bangladesh have a very good side, with a good captain in Mashrafe Mortaza and players such as Shakib Al Hasan, Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Mushfiqur Rahim. India will have to work really hard to beat Bangladesh.”

Shoaib Akhtar also stated that India will have to bat first and post a good total if they want to win this encounter against Bangladesh.

“India must bat first and post a good total on the board because by doing that, they can bring Bangladesh under pressure,” he said. “Also they have good spinners, like Kuldeep, Chahal and even Jadhav, to keep Bangladesh under check.”

“I think India will be eager to set things straight after their defeat against England, but it won’t be easy for them,” Akhtar added.

Bangladesh will play Pakistan in their next match of the World Cup 2019 on July 5th at Lord’s cricket ground and hope New Zealand beat the host England on Wednesday in order to book their place in the semi finals.
