The biggest international cricket tournament in the world is about to start – ICC 2019 World Cup and every team in the world is gearing up for it. While there are still a few concerns in the middle order, India is going as favorites in the tournament.
India’s pace attack will be headed by Jasprit Bumrah, who has been in terrific form across all formats. The death overs specialist and currently world number one in ICC ODI rankings is backed by legendary Sachin Tendulkar, who believes that the ace bowler will be an x-factor for team India in the World Cup.
"I am not surprised by Bumrah's success. Having spent time with him and seen his sincere and honest efforts to improve and learn, I always knew it was a matter of time before he would rattle the best batsmen in the world," Tendulkar said, as quoted by Sportstar.
Sachin has seen Bumrah rise through ranks in Indian cricket from his breakthrough at Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League.
Jasprit Bumrah was also named in the ICC ODI and Test team of the year 2018 after his devastating performance against Australia in Border-Gavaskar Trophy earlier this year.
